CREATIVE ART THERAPY

Creative Arts Therapy emphasises the importance of having a relationship with the visual and sensory world. Being in creative mode allows a person to be in the present moment, preventing the mind from thinking about the past or worrying about the future, attending to emotional, cognitive, physical and spiritual well-being.

It is an enjoyable process which allows to feel more in control over underlying LIFE issues like-•

  • WHO IS IT FOR?

    Art Therapy is appropriate for children and adults of all ages.

    No artistic skills is necessary.

    Helps with​ issues including but not limited to: low self-esteem, anger, depression, anxiety, stress, trauma, PTSD, chronic illness, cognitive impairment, developmental disabilities/delays, grief and loss, dementia and much more.

    ​Art therapy session can occur simultaneously with traditional therapy for a limited time or as a primary means of therapy.

  • WHY DOES ART THERAPY ​WORK?

    Some of us find it difficult to verbalize our thoughts, feelings and emotions. Art therapy is an intervention that provides the opportunity for nonverbal expression and communication.

    Art therapy environment provides a supportive venue in which to safely express and explore strong, sensitive or destructive feelings.

    Discussion about your artwork and the art making process can help both of us gain insight into your inner world.

    By drawing or visually expressing your feelings, even if you can't identify or label your emotions, we will have a starting point from which to address your issues.

  • FACTS ABOUT ART THERAPY

    It is an established mental health profession that has been around since the 1940s.

    The art you represent is authentic to you and hence, there is no right way or wrong way to do so.

    You do not need to be proficient in art making or have a background in drawing.

    Not every session involves art.

    Art therapy is not a modality but a mental health profession.

LIFE COACHING

What is Life Coaching?

The aim is to develop an eminently practical method for taking action in a strategic way to get things done so that Client’s needs are fulfilled and elevated.

How does it work?

Strategic Intervention (Life Coaching) brings a system of change that empowers the client to take action daily in their life. It is through real actions, taught as SI Strategies by their coach, that a client creates the real and lasting change they desire.

Benefits of Life Coaching:

You can expect to gain clarity, action, and progress towards the goals you want to achieve.

You will learn about yourself and how to be more effective with the key people in your life.

Insights often include: how to rebuild a difficult relationship, how to become more inspired about your career and how to plan for effective action.

Most clients discover areas of opportunity, freeing up energy and initiative, and more insight and harmony with those they care about.

Our Role:

  • Supporting participants’ engagement with the NDIS

  • Developing a recovery-enabling relationship

  • Coaching to increase recovery skills and personal capacity, including motivation, strengths, resilience and decision-making

  • Supporting participants with their recovery planning

  • Collaborating with the broader system of supports.

Art Therapy combined with Life Coaching is a great tool that helps Release pain, Process emotions, Find clarity and meaning.

Whether or not you engage in therapy, why not keep a journal or book where you can draw daily and just create something? Art itself is therapy whether it’s gardening, crochet, knitting, collage or clay. It’s the process of shutting down the outside world and being present for yourself.
